Terms and Conditions (United Kingdom)

1. Promoter

1.1 The promoter of this prize draw is Versus Socks (Pty) Ltd, [registration number], of [full registered address], South Africa ("the Promoter", "Versus Socks", "we", "us").

1.3 The Promoter is the Official Performance Socks Partner of the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running.

2. The Prize Draw

2.1 The "Win the Ultimate Sports Bundle" prize draw ("the Prize Draw") is a free prize draw. No purchase is necessary and no payment is required to enter or to claim the prize.

2.2 The Prize Draw opens at [10:00] on [26] September 2026 and closes at [23:59] on [30] September 2026 (UK time) ("the Closing Date"). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be counted.

2.3 The Prize Draw is promoted on a card supplied with Versus Socks in the official 2026 Baxters Loch Ness Marathon event pack.

2.4 By entering, you accept these Terms and Conditions in full.

3. Eligibility

3.1 The Prize Draw is open to individuals who, at the Closing Date:

(a) are aged 18 years or over;

(b) are legal residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland); and

3.2 The following persons are not eligible to enter: employees, directors, officers and agents of the Promoter; employees of any company associated with the Prize Draw, including the organisers of the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running and any prize supplier or agency; and the immediate families and households of any of the above.

3.3 The Promoter may ask any entrant or winner to provide proof of age, identity, UK residency and registration for the 2026 Baxters Loch Ness Marathon before a prize is awarded. Entrants who cannot provide satisfactory proof within a reasonable period will be disqualified.

3.4 Entry is limited to one entry per person. Bulk, automated or third party entries are void.

4. How to Enter

4.1 To enter, you must:

(a) scan the QR code printed on the Versus Socks packaging or promotional card supplied in your 2026 Baxters Loch Ness Marathon event pack, or visit versussocks.co.uk/competition; and

(b) complete and submit the online entry form and survey in full before the Closing Date.

4.2 An entry is only valid once the entry form has been submitted successfully and received by the Promoter. Receiving the socks or the promotional card does not enter you into the Prize Draw.

4.3 Entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted or not received by the Promoter for any reason will be void.

4.4 Entry is free. Following @versussocks_eu on Instagram is recommended so that you see the winner announcement, but it is not a condition of entry and will not affect your chance of winning.

4.5 The Promoter does not accept responsibility for entries lost, delayed or not received due to network, hardware or software failure.

4.6 Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.

5. The Prize

5.1 There is one (1) prize, consisting of:

(a) one (1) year's supply of Versus Socks, being [12] pairs of Versus Socks, supplied as [a single delivery / one pair per month for twelve consecutive months], in styles and sizes selected by the winner from the ranges available at the time of fulfilment and subject to stock availability;

(b) one (1) Garmin Forerunner 70 GPS watch [specify colour and variant, or state that colour is subject to availability]; and

(c) one (1) pair of adidas EVO SL running shoes, in a size selected by the winner from the sizes available at the time of fulfilment and subject to stock availability.

5.2 The approximate total retail value of the prize is £[amount]. This is an estimate based on recommended retail prices at the date these Terms were published and no cash value attaches to it.

5.3 The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-exchangeable. There is no cash alternative in whole or in part.

5.4 If any element of the prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter's reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it with an alternative of equal or greater value.

5.5 The prize will be delivered to a single UK postal address nominated by the winner, within 30 days of the winner confirming their delivery details and size preferences. The Promoter does not deliver prizes outside the United Kingdom.

5.6 The prize excludes anything not expressly listed in clause 5.1, including delivery of any replacement or exchanged items, accessories, subscriptions or services.

5.7 The Garmin watch and the adidas footwear are covered by the manufacturer's standard warranty. Any warranty claim must be made to the relevant manufacturer directly.

5.8 The winner is responsible for any tax liability arising from receipt of the prize and for obtaining independent advice on that if needed.

6. Winner Selection and Notification

6.1 The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received before the Closing Date, by an independent person or under the supervision of an independent person not connected to the Promoter.

6.2 The draw will take place on or around [1] October 2026.

6.3 The winner will be notified by email to the address given on their entry form on or around [1] October 2026, and will be announced publicly on 2 October 2026 via the Promoter's official social media channels, including @versussocks_eu on Instagram.

6.4 The winner must respond to the notification email and confirm acceptance of the prize within 14 days of the date the notification is sent. If the winner does not respond within that period, cannot be contacted, is found to be ineligible, or declines the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner at random from the remaining valid entries.

6.5 The Promoter's decision on all matters relating to the Prize Draw is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into. This does not affect your statutory rights.

7. Publication of Winner Details

7.1 The surname and county of the winner, or a statement that no valid entries were received, will be made available for six weeks after the Closing Date to anyone who writes to team@versussocks.co.za with the subject line "Loch Ness 2026 Prize Draw winner".

7.2 An entrant may object to their surname and county being published, or ask for the amount of information published to be reduced, by contacting the Promoter at team@versussocks.co.za before the Closing Date. In these circumstances the Promoter must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

7.3 The winner may be asked, but is not required, to take part in reasonable publicity relating to the Prize Draw.

8. Prize Suppliers, Event Partners and Social Media Platforms

8.1 Garmin and adidas are not promoters of, and are in no way sponsoring, endorsing, administering or associated with, this Prize Draw. All trade marks are the property of their respective owners. [Amend if either brand is a formal partner in the promotion.]

8.2 This Prize Draw is run by Versus Socks. It is not administered by the organisers of the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running, and any query about the Prize Draw should be directed to the Promoter and not to the event organisers.

8.3 This Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc. or any other social media platform. Entrants release those platforms from any liability in connection with the Prize Draw.

9. Data Protection

9.1 The Promoter is the data controller for personal data collected through the entry form and survey.

9.2 The personal data we collect is [name, email address, postal address, [race registration reference], and your survey responses].

9.3 We use this data to administer the Prize Draw, verify eligibility, select and contact the winner, and deliver the prize. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in running the Prize Draw and, where you are the winner, taking steps necessary to award the prize.

9.4 We use survey responses in aggregated and anonymised form for market research and product development. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in understanding our customers.

9.5 Marketing emails are optional. You will only be added to the Versus Socks marketing list if you tick the separate opt-in box on the entry form. Entry into the Prize Draw is not conditional on giving marketing consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting team@versussocks.co.za.

9.6 We will retain entry data for no longer than [six months] after the Closing Date, after which it will be deleted or anonymised, except where we are required to keep it for longer to comply with a legal obligation. Winner records may be retained for [12 months] for audit and regulatory purposes.

9.7 We share personal data with our service providers only as needed to run the Prize Draw and fulfil the prize, for example our email platform, entry form provider and delivery partners. We do not sell personal data.

9.8 [Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, for example to the Promoter in South Africa, we put in place appropriate safeguards as required by UK data protection law, including the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.]

9.9 You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact team@versussocks.co.za. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

10. Liability

10.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits the Promoter's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10.2 Subject to clause 10.1, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in the Prize Draw or from acceptance or use of the prize, including technical failures, delays in delivery, or acts or omissions of third party suppliers.

10.3 Subject to clause 10.1, the Promoter is not liable for any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable at the time of entry.

10.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. General

11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Prize Draw or these Terms and Conditions where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary. Any change will be published on versussocks.co.uk/competition and communicated through the Promoter's official channels.

11.2 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it reasonably believes has breached these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process, or acted fraudulently or dishonestly.

11.3 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in force.

11.4 These Terms and Conditions and the conduct of the Prize Draw comply with the CAP Code (the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct and Promotional Marketing).

12. Governing Law

12.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of [England and Wales].

12.2 Any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [England and Wales]. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.
